Without your support the Legacy Garden would not have been created. Over £1800 of donations during the week ensured we would cover our costs and have some funds to carry on.

This may help meetings plan their own garden projects.

The Quaker
Gardens Project receives no funding other than donations from individuals and Meetings (though we now feel ready to approach sources of funding to ensure the continuation and growth of the work and plan to do this during the Autumn.)

Please see the DONATE page for our bank details if you’d like to contribute.

We’d like you to be involved and to share the experience of getting to know more of our Gardens and Burial Grounds across the country. Here’s how:

Download the QGP GARDENS AND BURIAL GROUNDS FORM to add your special places to our map.

Invite a speaker to your Meeting: Deb Arrowsmith is happy to visit meetings to help, to advise and simply to spread the word (and the compost) Here’s 3 choices:

A slide and video show of how the Legacy Garden project came about and the ongoing work of the QGP. A presentation of up to an hour- with questions- ideal for after Meeting or as part of an Area Meeting gathering. This could be combined with a look at your garden and what it might do for the Meeting.
Your own Garden and Burial Ground Workshop day designed around your specific garden/burial ground- to be put together with you. It may feature some creative work and some practical skills work with the meeting and time for reflection, ideas and even a look into the future! Whatever you feel is helpful to you.
Spiritual Composting: facing the truth? A look at sex and death in the garden! A led workshop/ discussion delving into the engine room of all gardens- the compost heap. There’s something for everyone here and it’s where we will all end up! Life and death matters- explored with sensitivity in the Quaker Way.

Contact Deb for more details. QGP receives all contributions of travel expenses and donations.
